Cre8ive Crayonz

When Susan Goldman was furloughed from her job in March 2020, she was left with plenty of time to try new craft projects with her daughter Jessie. One of them, creating new crayons from old, broken ones, quickly turned into a flourishing business. Susan needed a website to showcase her products and direct visitors to purchase on Etsy.

Susan came to me with her logo and a vision for a bright, colorful site that was easy to navigate and showcased her crayonz.

Susan was planning to use Etsy for point-of-sale so her website needed to be more of a gallery of all her work plus a place to house her press and social media exposure.

She also wanted a way to capture email addresses so she could follow up with new leads.

cre8ivecrayonz.com is now home to all of Susan’s most popular crayonz including seasonal themes, party favors and personalized names. I will easily be able to incorporate point of sale should Susan decide to sell direct vs on Etsy.

I also used the Squarespace marketing platform to set up an email campaign tied to the pop-up message that greets visitors. When they enter their email, they automatically receive a link to download an exclusive-free coloring page…the perfect lead-generation strategy!

Finally, I made sure the site was search-engine-optimized so Susan’s page would appear high up in relevant searches, driving more traffic and point-of-sale conversions.

Additional Design work

When Susan needed print collateral for various promotions and packaging, I provided layouts that were consistent with the website design and branding.
